  • Mover grupos libremente
  • Redimensionar grupos arrastrando cualquier borde/esquina

Hello, The program's a bit inflexible. There should be an option to chose any folder in the system, regardless of the Desktop Icons folder. I have folders inside the Desktop Icons folder that I don't want to show in a group, but since I can't do that, I have to put them somewhere else - although they are of the same nature of my main folder. For example: "Work folder" with "Things do to" and "Another files". I don't want to show "Another files" in the Desktop. But then I'd have to put it somewhere else, which makes everything chaotic. This features in Window's Fences and it's VERY useful. Also, I need to define specific viewing options for each folders. In some I need bigger icons, in others that's not necessary. Also, I can't sort the files by type or configure specific viewing options as in Finder. Desktop Icons are not replicating the Finder's viewing options

basically, very nice idea! finally a modern approach to de-clutter my desktop. underlying principle reminds me of spring-loaded folders of older mac os. regretfully, the software is still stuck in alpha stage. some impressions and thoughts: - instead of using aliases or links to the original files/folders there has to be a physical folder "Desktop Groups" containing the different files/folders. you can set another location for this folder but you cannot have files/folders from different "real" locations in a group. - i can't move files/folders into a folder contained in a group. i have to open the group, open the folder by double-clicking on it, and then copy/move my stuff in there. this is really annoying. - groups pop up on mouse-over like drop-down menus. don't want that. i want to use the "enlarge"-button in the title bar. - however, using the "enlarge"-button sometimes works, sometimes not. - resizing a group window is a real pain. it eventually works (sometimes not), but you'll really have to point and shoot at a very small spot/corner. - no separate color settings for different group title bars. it's all or nothing. this would be nice for peeps like me, using colors for different categories. - only 2 settings in the prefs (use dock or menu bar icon, visibility option). i guess, if they put more time and energy into this tool, it'll fly. currently, it's not even a beta version, imho. improve it, and i'll be happy to adjust my ratings.

i want suggest some implementations for a better use. 1) open folder direct from the desktop group in my copy this not work. 2) change the color of titles for each group. 3) use the service from a contextual menu, for the service and automator actions, as rename folder and files or resize, etc... 4) information about the files as dimension etc direct in the groups.

Very useful program - exactly what I was looking for! Wishlist for improvement: 1. Put preferences in menubar rather than in the individual pseudo-windows. It took me quite a while to find them. 2. Add a means of sorting the members of groups (by filename, date, etc.). 3. Add an option to turn off the annoying beep when adding files or folders. 4, Very annoying start-up on first use. Start the program and you suddenly see a group on your desktop with six generic pictures from someone else's vacation. You can't close the group or delete the pictures without dragging the pictures to the desktop - and you don't figure that out without effort. There's got to be a better way to introduce folks to how the program works. Once I got the hang of the thing (and got rid of the vacation photos), it's great, and I look forward to future improvements.
